POLYKEN
Pipeline Coating Reconditioning /
Rehabilitation Systems

System Description Product Advantages

Polyken #1027 Primer provides a uniformly smooth contact surface to promote high adhesion of the coating system to the pipe.

Polyken #932, Polyken #933, and Polyken #934 Weld Stripping and Repair Coatings consist of a thick, high-tack adhesives that fills longitudinal and girth weld profiles providing a strong continuous bond.

Polyken #980 is an anticorrosion inner layer engineered to assure a high bond with excellent conformability characteristics.

Polyken #955, the mechanical protection outer layer, achieves a complete bond to the # 980 inner layer, providing maximum handling and in-service protection for the coating system.

  • Proven long-term performance.
  • Impermeable to oxygen and moisture.
  • Resistant to soil stress.
  • Incorporated SCC inhibitors.
  • Elevated temperature system available.
  • Low maintenance costs.
  • Plant coating quality with in-situ application.
  • Designed for rapid, user-friendly application.
  • Can be applied to operating pipelines.

Polyken Long-Term Stability and Performance Predictability

Polyken's engineered polyolefin formulation and cross-linked butyl alloy adhesives are impermeable to oxygen and moisture. This ensures the long-term chemical stability and uniform performance of the system despite environmental conditions. The result is cathodic protection cost savings and stable, predictable long-term coating performance.

Water Absorption (ASTM G-62)

This data illustrates the superior resistance to water absorption of the Polyken coating system. Less absorption means more stable cathodic protection and results in cost savings over the life of the pipeline.
