Sealing
the Steel Chime-to-Concrete
Interface of Storage Tanks
STOPAQ products are used at chime of storage tanks
to prevent water infiltration & corrosion.
STOPAQ application at tank terminal in 4 easy steps:

Step 1: Clean the surface.
Normally a clean and dry surface (no loose particles) is enough. In this
instance, we sweep blast the flaking paint coating from the surface.

Step 2: Apply
FN 4200 Flange Filler. The filler is
squeezed in the area between floor and concrete (chime plate) using a
high thrust ratio bulk applicator gun. |

Step 3: Apply
EZ Wrap Paintable Tape: 2 inches (to the weld) on the floor
plate and 4 inches on the concrete slab. |
Step 4: Press down
EZ Wrap Paintable Tape. Use a seam roller, available at roofing
supply stores. |
