QNix® 4500
& QNix® 4200
Coating Thickness
Measurement Gauges
By TestCoat, Inc.

Two compact & robust paint thickness measurement
gauges
for ferrous & non-ferrous substrates

The QNix 4200 and 4500 (QuaNix)
coating thickness measurement gauges are
accurate, easy to use, compact, robust and ideal
for both indoor and outdoor use. Readings appear on the digital
display along with a substrate indicator.
- QNix® 4200 is for
measurements over steel or iron (Fe substrates).
- QNix® 4500 is for
measurements over steel AND aluminum
(Fe and non-ferrous substrates). This is a best seller for all
painting applications.
Whether you are assessing the paint
work on an automobile, inspecting an outdoor structure such as a
bridge or water tank, or assessing the results from a liquid or
powder coating line, these handy and rugged gauges will meet your
coating thickness measurement requirements.
The best-selling QNix® 4500 was
developed for paint thickness measurement in the automotive industry
and other industries with demanding painting applications. This
compact gauge permits extremely precise measurements of lacquer and
corrosion protection thicknesses, both on steel and iron, as well as
on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, zinc, copper.
- Extremely precise: High
measuring accuracy over the entire measuring range.
- Simple operation: No
calibration. Only one button. One-hand operation.
- Innovative technology:
Proven Hall sensor and Eddy Current technology. Integrated
measuring probe without cables or plugs.
- Broad spectrum of use:
Dual probe for measurements on steel and non-ferrous metals.
- Protective measuring:
Polished ruby tip to protect both probe and surface to be
measured.
 Benefits
- One gauge for Fe & NFe
substrates (QNix® 4500 only).
- Automatic substrate
recognition (QNix® 4500 only).
- Simple, fast coating thickness
measurements.
- Large, clear numbers for optimal
readability.
- One-hand operation for all
measurements.
- No calibration required.
