- Dual-element
transducers are designed for optimum performance with all
StressTel thickness gauges as well as other compatible gauges and
flaw detectors. They are longitudinal transducers with two separate
elements that are angled toward each other, thereby focusing the
sound beam. The two elements function as a transmitter and receiver,
thus producing a better signal-to-noise ratio than can be achieved
with single element transducers.
- Dual-element
transducers are particularly suited for thin range
thickness gauging and flaw detection. They are designed for
detection of near surface discontinuities and corrosion. The
transducers are color coded for easy identification and have a
knurled case for positive gripping.
