Thermite weld cap

A thermite weld cap is a piece of square sheet with a formed dome that is constructed of 20 mil thick, high-density, vacuum and heat pressed polyethylene plastic. The cap is used to protect a brazed or thermite welded cable-to-structure connection such as a “Cadweld” connection.

Thermite weld caps are supplied for field application of a mastic coating, such as Carboline Bitumastic 50.
