Universal's plant consists of 7,000 square feet of assembly area plus an additional 1,000 square feet of office and engineering space. Universal's personnel are experienced, skilled craftsmen, hand-picked from the industry. Six of Universal's employees have a combined experienced of over 80 years and have been instrumental in the production of over 65,000 rectifiers.

The Air Cooled Standard Line

The Universal Standard Line cathodic protection rectifiers are recognized as the leader in quality and workmanship. Many years of field-proven service have led to the design of Universal's rectifiers. Conservative ratings, controlled manufacturing techniques, plus many extra features ensure long and trouble-free operation.

The Oil Cooled Line

The Universal oil-cooled rectifier is a heavy-duty, rugged rectifier designed to operate under severe conditions. The cabinet is constructed of minimum 11-gauge material reinforced with external fins for added strength and cooling. All units are equipped with hinged lid, lid brace and heavy-duty draw pull latches as standard features.

Explosion-proof models for Class 1, Group D environments comply with UL Standard 698.

The Air Cooled SW Series

The Universal "SW" Series rectifier is an alternative to the standard line. The "SW" rectifier features a lift-off design case which permits unlimited accessibility for routine maintenance and inspection. Simplified design reduces manufacturing costs, which provides an economical rectifier ideally suited to most applications. Rectifier components are mounted on an 11-gauge chassis panel for easy removal.
