Setup

The Close Interval Survey Pack with Pulsed Wire Chainer - CIS Pack Model MP-100-WC / MP-200-WC consists of three (3) equipment components identified as the backpack, survey meter tray and the pulsed wire chainer. These three (3) equipment components specifications are outlined by the following sections.

The Survey Meter Tray is fully wired and ready to use. Survey test/data probes can be connected to the splitter box’s 3-pin female plugs (right probe to the right plug and left probe to the left plug). Data lead wire with 3-Pin jack connects to the data collector/meter remote trigger port. Note: Data Collector and Survey Wire not supplied with Pack.

Pack Construction

Pack’s structure is a unique concept in load bearing for equipment mounting. Pack utilizes a simple design of H-Gear shoulder straps and webbed belt.

Webbing

Shoulder straps are heavily padded. Hip belt, shoulder straps, and pack webbing are designed to wick away perspiration.

Suspension System

High performance suspension system adjusts to accommodate virtually any size surveyor even with bulky cold weather gear.

Survey Wire Tray

UHMW high-dielectric plastic, back-mounted survey wire tray equipped with pre-wired 5/8-inch arbor.

Survey Wire Tensioner

Constructed of high impact strength polystyrene plastic case, mounted on back of pack with silicone wheel tensioning systems.

Hip Belt

Hip belt contains water bottle and holder for additional 3-inch survey wire spool pouch.

Fully wired to accept voltmeter/data collector and data probe(s).

Meter Tray

Lightweight UHMW high-dielectric plastic survey tray with stainless steel corner connector rings.

Mounting

SECO type data collector cradle assembly.

Splitter Box

Constructed of high-impact strength polystyrene plastic mounted  underneath survey meter tray.

Straps

Waist straps are used to stabilize the survey meter tray and hook to the back connector rings of the survey meter tray and to the survey pack waist band or the surveyor’s belt loops.

Strap Connections

The connecting straps use a stainless steel trigger snap for quick connect and disconnect with survey meter tray’s corner connector rings.
