| Product Overview
The Deepwater Polatrak MA-1 Monitored Anode
provides a reliable, accurate method for monitoring anode performance and
consumption. It can be hardwired to the surface, or connected to a
SunStation™ subsea monitor, making it suitable for any depth.
The MA-1 allows accurate logging of the total
number of Ampere-hours delivered by the anode. The time-consuming acts of
cleaning an anode and then visually estimating consumption (an inherently
unreliable exercise) are no longer required. The unique design of the
monolithic isolators used in the system provides 100% life cycle
reliability; there are no insulated flange joints to fail. The double
armored wires used on all Polatrak instruments ensure full life cycle
performance.
Polatrak monitors have an excellent track
record of success and are installed on more offshore structures worldwide
than any other fixed monitoring system. The system has been applied to all
galvanic anode types, platform anodes, flush mount anodes and pipeline
bracelet anodes.
Applications
- Offshore platform jackets & drill rigs.
- Seawater ballast banks on SPAR, TLP, and
FSU / FPSO structures.
- SPAR center well areas.
- Inshore structures, piers, jetties,
wharves.
- Subsea equipment (when used with
SunStation subsea readout).
- Offshore pipelines
Main Benefits
- Allows accurate measurement of anode
consumption and remaining life without interference with the anode.
- Gives direct verification of CP design
criteria.
- Proven reliability; these instruments
are installed on many of the worlds premier offshore structures and have
been used to write the book on CP design in many emerging offshore
areas.
- Guaranteed performance; Polatrak
instruments come with the best warranty in the industry.
