Installing Data Link Pro

Data Link Pro has "Autorun" capability. Place the CD in your CD ROM drive, and the Data Link Pro install page should come up automatically. If your computer is not configured to AutoRun CDs, follow these steps to set up AutoRun capability.

First, remove the CD from the CD ROM drive. If you are running Windows, go to your "Start" button, go to "Settings", and go to "Control Panel". Double-click the "System" icon, the "System Properties" window will pop up, click on "Device Manager" and double-click on "CD ROM". Right click on the node within "CD ROM" (this is a node describing your CD ROM) and go to "Properties". In the window that pops up go to the "Settings" tab, if the "Auto insert notification" check box is checked, your computer is already setup for AutoRun. All you need to do is insert the Data Link Pro CD and the Install Page will automatically come up, click on "Install Data Link Pro" and it will walk you through installation. If the "Auto insert notification" box is not checked your computer is not setup for AutoRun, check the "Auto insert notification" box and click OK. Your computer will prompt you to restart in order to save this setting  - YOU MUST RESTART your computer at this time. After you restart, simply place the Data Link Pro CD in the CDROM drive and insert it, the Install Page will automatically come up, click on "Install Data Link Pro" and it will walk you through installation.

Prerequisites for installation of Data Link Pro

• Pentium (or equivalent) Personal Computer
• Windows operating system. 
• 8 Megabytes of RAM memory. 
• 30 Megabytes of disk space.
• Web browser for viewing the Help file.
