Job Description

We are seeking a driven Business Development Specialist with at least 3 years of sales experience to expand our presence in cathodic protection, corrosion control, and related industries such as Oil & Gas and Pipeline. In this role, you will identify and pursue new opportunities, grow existing accounts, and manage the sales pipeline in HubSpot from lead to closure. The ideal candidate has technical knowledge of corrosion-related products and services, strong communication and presentation skills, and a proven track record of meeting revenue targets.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify customer needs, maintain relationships with key clients, and manage customer interactions through effective relationship management.
  • Develop new accounts, enhance existing relationships, and strategically target specific opportunities to drive growth.
  • Achieve revenue-based targets through effective business development and account management based on regional and company-wide goals.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, marketing acumen, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Develop sales presentations and provide detailed correspondence for customers.
  • Track and manage projects through the sales cycle to ensure timely closure.
  • Required use of HubSpot CRM for managing customer interactions and sales pipeline.
  • Required attendance at industry tradeshows and management of exhibit booths.


Required Skills

  • At least 3 years of sales experience required. Mature and reliable, with a pleasant personality and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Prefer technical knowledge of Cathodic Protection and/or corrosion-related materials and services or industries such as Oil and Gas or Pipeline.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) and information management.
  • Must have an excellent driving record.
  • Confident in giving presentations and speaking in front of groups.
  • Overnight travel required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional personal presentation.
  • Good organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding procurement processes and DEI programs is a plus.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and practices.
