Summary

Farwest Corrosion is looking for career minded and experienced leaders within the pipeline corrosion industry. Work for a company that has a reputation for industry leadership (>65 years) with full benefits and competitive pay.

 

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead projects and crews from the field to meet scheduled deadlines on time
• Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities
• Dig ditches or trenches, lays conduit or direct burial wire, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes
• Install cathodic protection rectifiers
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
• Measures, marks and records openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed
• Complies with the highest level of safety procedures during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents.

 

Secondary Responsibilities

• Directing activities of subcontractors as needed.
• Operate heavy equipment (skid-steers, mini excavators)
• Load and unload trucks
• Controls traffic passing near, in, and around work zones
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, or gravel
• Haul and hoist materials
• Grind, sand, and polish surfaces for cad welding or pin brazing
• Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• Identifies, formulates and implements “On‐the‐Job” training programs for the workforce under his responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and/or a strong understanding of construction
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Reading and working directly off of construction plans (bill of materials)
• Enjoy working outside
• Ability to travel out of town for work

 

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• Cathodic protection experience preferred but not required
• Basic electrical knowledge preferred but not required
• Class A CDL preferred but not required
• Final Salary will be determined depending on background and experience.
