Project Coordinator
Downey, CA

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Submittal packages to client (material, equipment, resumes, insurance, bonds, etc.)

  • Have customer contract packages reviewed and signed
    • T&C’s
    • Payment

 

  • Coordinate credit needs
    • Preliminary lien setup
    • Establish new customer accounts

  • Initiate Farwest job start package
    • Obtain job information from Estimating Department
    • Obtain job material requisition from Estimator in charge of bidding job
      • Review job material requisition and submit to Production Department for material build
      • Review purchase requisitions for submission to Purchasing Department

  • Subcontractor initiation
    • Subcontract agreement in place
    • Subcontractor insurance in place

  • Initial contact with customer representative or Project Manager
    • Attend pre-job meetings as needed
    • Set up schedule of work
    • Review project needs
    • Introduce team

  • Pass project to Construction Superintendents or Engineering Project Manager
    • Continue to track project progress and provide updates to all involved
    • Ensure materials and subcontractors are ready for project start

  • Ongoing communication with customer representative
    • Provide updates on an ongoing basis
    • Submit Request for Information (RFI) to customer as necessary
    • Submit Change Order requests to customer as necessary

  • Updates to Farwest team on job progress.  Utilize available software as available
    • Provide milestones, alerts, issues, etc.

  • Track job status though all phases of project
    • Conduct cost review as necessary

  • Invoice preparation
    • Work with Farwest field personnel to expedite job billing
    • Review contract Schedule of Values to match Farwest billing amounts
    • Provide billing documentation for Farwest Services Admin. Department (SAD)

  • Provide job Close-out package/documents
    • As built drawings, final reports, O&M manual, certifications, and other documents as needed

  • Multi-tasking abilities as you will be working with multiple teams as well as clients on a variety and number of projects.
  • Strong Computer skills (Microsoft Office Proficient) 


This demanding position requires the ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time, communicate with various involved project personnel, oversee progress and ensure smooth project transition between Farwest departments.
